SYM Foundation SYM Foundation, the future of symbiotic living

SYM Foundation was created by individuals who are passionate about green, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing designed homes that make minimum impact on the environment. Take a look at our media page for more information.

What are the gains of green living?
The first, our health. What could be more important? The biggest impact can only be achieved if the majority of people follow the same type of living. Instead of gas guzzling SUV's being popular, this direction in living needs to be just as 'trendy'. So, how do we achieve this? Educate and inform. Not in the sense that every individual needs to know everything about conserving energy and reuseable construction materials, but more, people need to be aware they have alternative choices that will enhance their lives. For too long sustainable living has been in magazines like Backwoods Homes and experiments in New Mexico with dwellings that are effective but unattractive to the average person. In order for this to really take off it needs to be appealing, if not, better than what exists today.

Many advances in home construction has developed in large part through legislature changing the rules of construction to be more energy efficient.  It could be more, but the public needs to demand it.

SYM Foundation Partner LogoThe action we wish to take
We want to work with cities to have them in support of the events we want to organize to achieve our goals. A typical scenario would be as follows (using the City of Irvine as the location example as they have the land and means to support such an event.);

1. Contact the City of Irvine and present the event outline for approval.  Once approved work on the location of where the event is to be held. Minimum of 3 acres for the event is needed.  More room would expand the scope of the event.

2. Invite the companies that are in our pre-approved and pre-registered for these events.

3. Building phase allows the set up of the event.  The invited companies can come in and construct their units for the long term display.

4. Media and advertising of the event to draw crowds.

We feel that such events will last at a minimum of 4 months with possible displays (with the support of cities) on a yearly basis.  Such place like Central Park in New York, the Great Park in Orange County would be a constant educational piece that can be upgraded as technology advances and always on display will continually educate the common consumer.
